‘Spot light on a Song’
Happy Friday Music fans! I’m back. And with a music vengeance this week.
Today I ‘spot light’ one of the greatest rock bands of all time, and notably influential during the 80’s which is why I will stand by my man: Peter Cetera, CHICAGO.
I was out with a friend this week when this amazing song came on from above in the music heavens. This friend had the audacity to say Chicago was the worst band in rock history! I was appalled and considered terminating our friendship by the mere statement. But he is also a musician and he is entitled to his opinion. I would’ve at minimum de-friended him from my social media platforms but because he is so old he isn’t even on them!
Jimi Hendrix once said, “Jeez, your horn players are like one set of lungs and your guitar player is better than me.”[ Not sure how you can argue with that Dan.
This song instantly transfixed and sent me back 30 years, remembering every lyric still as if it were the #1 song today! Only good songwriting can do that my friends!
I love Chicago. And not just because I lived in the city for two decades. But because their music, harmonies, and messages made the world very happy. Enjoy.
Strum a little…..
