‘Spot light on a Song’
Hello music fans!!! It’s Friday and a beautiful day here in the Western corner of the world. Sunshine and fall.
Today I ‘Spot light’ Colin Hay: Scottish Australian musician and actor who made his mark during the 1980s as lead vocalist of the Australian band Men at Work, and later as a solo artist. Regarding his solo career, Hay has stated, “I feel like it’s been building for the last fifteen or so years that I’ve been touring. It’s slow and steady. It’s been word-of-mouth. People see the show, like it, and tell their friends. It feels very organic.”
And that my friends is what it is all about. I couldn’t have said it any more eloquent than that. Because writing and playing music takes time. It is not an overnight process. Every day I get to spend on my music is a gift; that I continue to focus on and keep on giving to you.
And if you’ve read this far, this song in particular might be one of the most moving songs ever written. It’s about lost love. And we’ve all, in someway experienced that. Maybe you’ve felt this way about someone. Perhaps you’ve even been on the receiving end. Either way, take 3 minutes and listen to Colin. His music, voice and essence will change your day in some way.
Sending love out to all the past people I have loved and cared about.
Strum a little…..
